Electric Locomotive FS E 652 “Tigre” (Tiger)

 
In 1988 the FS ordered 80 of these locomotives directly derived from the E 633 and  632. This locomotive has assigned the 652 running number, this locomotive has had significant improvements made to it, compared to the locomotives from which it derived.

The power was increased by 17 %, and a single transmission ration, thus allowing it to be used for the hauling of both goods and passenger  trains. The improved electronics also increases security and subsequently give this locomotive a high level of reliability. The pantographs on this locomotive are of the type 52.
