Steam Locomotive Class 659 ÖBB

Some locomotives of the Württemberg Class K  were sent to Austria in the early '40’s, and after WW2 were renumbered in Austrian ranks. Their wheel arrangement, 2-12-0, made them fit for pulling heavy goods trains on mountain routes. They were used on the steep gradients of the Semmering and Brenner passes.
